Clomid (Generic)

Clomiphene is in a class of medications called ovulatory stimulants; a fertility drug.

Take exactly as directed by your physician. This medication is usually taken for a 5 day period, swallowed whole with a glass of water.

Clomid medication is for use in adults only, it is not meant for use in children.

If you notice any of the symptoms listed below, or any other symptoms which seem severe or persistent inform your health care professional :

Nausea
Abdominal/Pelvic Pain
Eye Sensitivity
Shortness of Breath
Breast Discomfort
Changes in Menstrual Bleeding/ Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any medication and if you are taking any other medication in any other form (herbal/dietary supplements).

If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Men : Keep all appointments with your doctor and check regularly if Clomid is increasing your sperm count.

Women : Discuss your dosage schedules and ovulating times and when you need to have sexual intercourse to increase the chances of conception.

Keep all appointments with your doctor and chart your temperature and monthly periods. If you think you are pregnant stop taking this medication immediately and contact your health care professional.

Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, call your doctor for additional directions.

It is a fertility agent used to induce egg production in women who are unable to produce eggs but wish to become pregnant.

Sometimes Clomid medication is prescribed to men with fertility problems due to low sperm counts. Ask your doctor for more information.

Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 & 86 degrees F), away from direct heat and moisture.

Do not drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes as this may decrease your chances of conception. Speak with your doctor for more information.
