Advair Diskus (Generic)

Fluticasone and salmeterol is a combination of two medicines that are used to help control the symptoms of asthma and improve lung function.

Advair Diskus :Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Gargle and rinse your mouth after using this medicine to help prevent dryness, relieve throat irritation, and to prevent mouth infections such as thrush. Do not swallow the rinse solution.

Consult your doctor if you are using any other medication or your condition whilst on a course with this medication.

Consult a pediatrician for the use of this medicine in children.

If you notice any of the symptoms listed below or any other symptoms which seem severe/persistent contact your doctor immediately.

Wheezing
Weakness
Chest Pain
Rash/Hives
Fever/Chills
Lightheadedness
Vomiting/Nausea
Vision Difficulties
Breathing Difficulties

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.

Inform your doctor about any other medication you may be taking in any other form.

In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Carry an identification card with your name, the type and dose of the corticosteroid medication you are taking, and your prescriber's name and address.

If you conceive whilst on a course with this medication inform your doctor immediately.

If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking this medicine.

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive.

Do not double doses to make up for a missed dose.

This is a combination "controller" medicine for long-term treatment of asthma and chronic lung diseases (such as emphysema, chronic bronchitis, or COPD).

Keep out of the reach of children.
Store at room temperature, away from heat and moisture.

The inhaler contents should be used within 1 month after opening the moisture-protective foil wrap or before the expiration date, whichever comes first.

Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had :

infection (especially fungal infection(s))
asthmatic attack
other bone disease
bronchospasm
osteoporosis
