Uses

Aldara cream is used in treatment of warts on the skin and the anal and genital areas. This cream is not a cure and new warts may appear during the course of this treatment.

How To Use

Depending on the condition you are being treated for, your doctor would suggest dosage and usage. Consult your doctor and use exactly as directed. Wash your hands before and after application thoroughly.

Storage

Precaution

Do not cover the treatment area(s) with bandages or any type of dressing unless specially informed by your doctor to do so.

Notes

It should be used topically applied only in the area of the skin for which it is prescribed.

After the prescribed duration of treatment (6-10 hours in case of genital or perianal warts) is over, wash the affected area thoroughly with mild soap and water.

Do not cover the area where Aldara Cream has been applied with any cloth or bandage or with any airtight clothing. Ensure adequate ventilation for the affected area.

It should not be used on broken skin, wounds and burns; wait until these conditions have healed before applying Aldara Cream to the affected area.

It is meant for external use only and should never be taken orally or applied in or near your eyes, lips or nostrils.

It should not be applied directly to the vagina and anus.

Do not use Aldara Cream for longer than the duration prescribed for it may result in skin damage.

Refrain from sexual contact, including anal or oral sex during the course of treatment for genital warts.
