	Biaxin Description Clarithromycin (Biaxin) is used to treat bacterial infections in many different parts of the body. It kills bacteria and prevents their growth.


	How to Use Biaxin The regular tablet and liquid are usually taken with or without food every 12 hours (twice a day) for 7â€“14 days. The long-acting tablet is usually taken with food every 24 hours (once a day) for 7â€“14 days. The tablets should be taken with a full glass of water. Swallow the long-acting tablets whole; do not split, chew, or crush them.

	Biaxin Missed Dose If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take double dose.


	Biaxin Uses Clarithromycin is an antibiotic used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria, such as pneumonia; bronchitis; and ear, lung, sinus, stomach, skin, and throat infections.

Biaxin Storage

You should store Biaxin at room temperature and away from heat and light. Keep it out of the reach of children. Do not store in the bathroom, near the kitchen sink or in other damp places. Heat or moisture may cause the medicine to break down. Do not store suspension in the refrigerator. Do not keep outdated medicine or medicine no longer needed. Be sure that any discarded medicine is out of the reach of children.
