Desloratadine is in a class of medications called antihistamines.

This tablet is to be taken by mouth, usually once a day with or without food.

Take exactly as directed by your health care professional.

Contact your paediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children.

Severe Side effects to this medication are rare, but if you notice any of the symptoms listed below inform your health care professional.

Drowsiness or Tiredness
Dizziness
Dry/sore Mouth/Throat
Muscle aches

Inform your health care professional if you are allergic to any medication in any form.

Ketoconazole
Erythromycin

In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had :

asthma
hepatitis
kidney disease
liver disease

Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

This medicine is to treat symptoms of hay fever, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes, & sneezing.

It may also be used to treat hives.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture.

Before taking Desloratadine, inform your health care professional if you have or have ever had kidney or liver disease or phenylketonuria, if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding.

Avoid alcohol and alcohol containing beverages whilst on a course with this medication.
