Duloxetine is in a class of medications called selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SSNRIs).

Contact your paediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children.

Take Duloxetine exactly as prescribed.

If you notice any of the symptoms listed below or any other symptoms which seem severe/persistent contact your doctor immediately.

inability to sleep
restlessness
stomach pain/tenderness
dark/brown urine
difficulty breathing
fainting spells
itching/ rash
mania
suicidal thoughts
unexplained 'flu-like' symptoms
vomiting
yellowing of your skin/the whites of your eyes

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.

alcohol
amphetamine
certain migraine medicines
dextroamphetamine
doxercalciferol
furazolidone
linezolid
lithium
heart rhythm/blood pressure medicines
weight control/appetite medicines
MAO inhibitors
other medicines for mental depression/mania/psychosis/anxiety
procarbazine
selegiline
st. John's wort

Inform your doctor about any other medication you may be taking in any other form.

In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had :

anorexia/weight loss
attempted suicide
high blood pressure
heart problems
kidney/liver disease
mania/bipolar disorder
use of alcohol(ethanol)

Do not double doses to make up for a missed dose. Consult your health care professional about your missed dose.

Store at room temperature between 20- 25 degrees C (68-77 degrees F), away from heat and moisture.

If you conceive whilst on a course with this medication inform your doctor immediately.

If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking this medicine.

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive.

Avoid alcohol and alcohol containing beverages whilst on a course with this medication.

Do not treat yourself with OTC medication whilst on a course with this medication, without consulting with your health care professional.
