low blood counts (you may be at increased risk for infections and bleeding)

light-headedness
eye discomfort/redness/blurred vision/double vision
mouth sores
vomiting
stomach pain
pain/difficulty passing urine
bruising
pinpoint red spots on the skin
sore throat

If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking this medicine.

If you cannot take dexamethasone.

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive.

Avoid alcohol and alcohol containing beverages whilst on a course with this medication.

Do not treat yourself with OTC medication whilst on a course with this medication, without consulting with your health care professional.

Do not have any vaccinations without your prescribers’ approval.

Avoid anyone who has recently had oral polio vaccine.


	Do not miss any appointments with your health care professional. If you are unable to meet the appointment inform your health care professional.


	Cytarabine is a type of chemotherapy for treating leukemias and lymphomas.
