Flovent (Generic)

Fluticasone is a corticosteroid. It prevents the release of certain substances in the body that cause inflammation.

Fluticasone (Aerosol Inhaler) : is usually inhaled twice a day. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use exactly as directed.

Fluticasone controls asthma. It is not a cure. If you are using any other inhaled medications, ask your doctor or pharmacist whether you should inhale these medications a certain amount of time before or after you use fluticasone inhalation. Ask your doctor, pharmacist, or respiratory therapist to show you how to use it. Practice using the inhaler while he or she watches.

Fluticasone Rotacaps : Consult your doctor on how to use this medication. Rotacaps should be used with a Rotacap Dispenser only. Take exactly as directed.

Replace the protective cap after every use.

This medication is to be used with a Rotacap Dispenser. (This Device is available under the Asthma Section)

Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away :

Diarrhea
Headache
Stuffy Nose
Back/Joint Pain
Difficulty Speaking

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.

Ritonavir

In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

If you are using the aerosol, you should clean your inhaler at least once a day. Remove the metal canister and rinse the case and cap in warm running water. Dry thoroughly and replace the canister and cap.

Do not double doses to make up for a missed dose.

Flovent is used to prevent asthma attacks. This medicine is not a cure.

Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture. Do not puncture the canister or dispose in flames.

Carry an idenfication card mentioning your condition, the medicine you take, the dosage and your health care professionals details.

If you need to undergo any kind of surgery inform your doctor you are taking this medication.

Inform your doctor if you suffer from any kind of infection,especially fungal.

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or trying to concieve.
