Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic medicine.

Contact your paediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children.

Eye Drops : Use as directed by your health care professional, making sure not to contaminate the dropper.

Topical Cream : This cream is for external use only. Wash your hands before and after use. Use as directed by your health care professional.

If you notice any of the symptoms listed below or any other symptoms which seem severe/persistent contact your doctor immediately.

Nausea
Dizziness
Increased thirst
Loss of balance
Muscle weakness
Difficulty hearing
Ringing in the ears
Pain/difficulty whilst passing urine

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.

Inform your doctor about any other medication you may be taking in any other form.

Do not treat yourself with OTC medication for skin/eyes whilst on a course with this medication, without consulting with your health care professional.

In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Do not double dose(s)/application(s) to make up for a missed dose. Consult your health care professional about your missed dose(s)/application(s).

This medicine is used in the treatment of superficial eye/skin infections.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

Store in a cool dry place, away from heat and light.

If you experience blurred vision or a burning or stinging sensation whilst using the drops, consult your health care professional immediately.

If you notice persistent skin irritation which is bothersome whilst using the cream inform your health care professional.

If you conceive whilst on a course with this medication inform your doctor immediately.

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive.
