Serevent Inhaler (Generic)

Salmeterol is a long acting beta agonist (LABA).

This is an aerosol inhaler. Consult your doctor on how to use this inhaler and use exactly as directed.

Contact a pediatrician for use of this medicine in children.

If you notice any of the symptoms listed below or any other symptoms which seem severe/persistent contact your doctor immediately.

Sore Throat
Choking
Difficulty Swallowing
Tightness in the chest following your inhalation
Swelling of the Hands/Feet
Mouth Sores
Irritated Eyes
Palpitations
Cough
Muscle Pain
Anxiety/Nervousness

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.

Beta Blockers
Medication for Hypertyroidism
MAO Inhibitors
Anti Depressants
Blood Pressure Medication
Water Pills
Arsenic Trioxide
Thyroid Hormones
Weight Loss Medication ( Including Herbal Medicines/Supplements)

Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medication in any other form for any condition especially a similar condition that you are being treated for.

In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Your inhaler mouthpiece should be cleaned at least once a week with warm water and dried completey.

In a large study conducted it was observed that a large number of patients using salmeterol died of asthma problems, compared to patients who did not use salmeterol for thier asthma problems. Consult your doctor on usage of this medicine for your condition. Take exactly as directed and do not stop or start this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Never use Salmeterol for an asthma attack unless asked to do so by your doctor

Do Not treat yourself with OTC medication for any condition without consulting your doctor whilst on a course with this medication.

Do not double doses to make up for a missed dose.

This medication is used to treat COPDs and other breathing difficulties caused by asthma, wheezing, shortness of breath.

Store at room temperature below 30 degrees C (86 degrees F) away from heat and light. Do not freeze.

Liver Diseases
Hyperthyroidism
Seizures
Diabetes

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning to concieve. If you concieve whilst on a course with this medication, inform your doctor immediately.
