Vermox Generic Descriptions

Vermox Generic Mebendazole, a broad-based anthelmintic, is used in the treatment of various worm diseases – Enterobiasis [Pinworm], Threadworm, Trichuriasis [Whipworm], Ascariasis [Common Roundworm], and Hookworm. Mebendazole destroys the parasitic worms in the body by blocking the glucose uptake without which these worms perish.

Besides Mebendazole which is the active ingredient in Vermox, the inactive ingredients are – anhydrous lactose NF, sodium starch glycolate, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium saccharin, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid, corn starch, tetrarome orange and FD&C Yellow # 6.

Generic Mebendazole is used to treat various worm infections as it effectively destroys the worms in the body.

How To Use Vermox Generic

Vermox 100mg tablets are chewable; they can be swallowed, or mixed with cold food and eaten immediately.

The dosage is different for different worm infections. The recommended dose for Threadworm and Pinworm is just a single tablet from children above 2 and also for adults; while the dosage for treating Hookworm, Whipworm and Roundworm is two tablets for three days – one tablet each in the morning and evening. Perchance, if the infection reoccurs, then the treatment will have to be repeated after 3 weeks, depending upon the kind of worm infection.

Take the medicine as prescribed by your physician, who may wish to give a stronger dose or for a longer time.

Vermox Side Effects

Some side-effects that are likely to occur with Vormex and have been commonly reported include:

  • Vomiting/Nausea
