	Description Zithromax (Azithromycin) belongs to a family of drugs called macrolide antibiotics.


	How to use Swallow Zithromax medicne whole with a glass of water. Azithromycin tablets maybe taken with or without food. Consult your doctor and take exactly as directed. Consult a paediatrician for the use of this medicine in children.

Side Effects

Tiredness
Dizziness
Headache
Drowsiness
Hearing loss
Nausea/Vomiting
Irregular heartbeat
Stomach pain/cramps
Severe/watery diarrhea
Palpitations/Chest pain
Increased sun sensitivity
Dark yellow/brown urine
Yellowing of the eyes/skin
Swelling of the face/lips/tongue
Difficulty breathing/swallowing
Vaginal irritation/itching/discharge


	Drug Interaction Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form. Antacids Digoxin Warfarin Triazolam Astemizole Ergotamine Terfenadine Magnesium salts Dihydroergotamine Inform your doctor about any other medication you may be taking in any other form.


	Over Dose In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.


	Notes Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had : Pneumonia Kidney/liver disease Any other chronic illness Stomach problems (especially if u have/have had colitis)


	Missed Dose Do not double doses to make up for a missed dose.


	Uses Azithromycin is used to treat infections caused by bacteria in different parts of the body, though it does not treat colds or the flu.


	Other Uses Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.


	Storage Store at room temperature between 59 - 86 degrees F (15 - 30 degrees C) away from heat and moisture.


	Precaution Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive. If you conceive whilst on a course with this medication inform your doctor immediately. If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking this medicine.
